The certification authority for Indian products is the BIS: Bureau of Indian Standards, which is responsible for the development of Indian standards and product certifications.
       India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (DEIT) on April 3, 2013 began to implement mandatory certification of electronic products.
       All imports of electronic products in the catalog of certified products to India or in the Indian market must be registered with the Indian Bureau of Standards (BIS).

Certification steps:
Provide certification application template and help fill in
Choose the most appropriate test laboratory
Select the appropriate agent (if required)
Assist sample clearance
Assist in product testing
Submit the test report to BIS and complete the registration
Precautions:
The manufacturer must have a representative office or an agent in India
The test must be conducted in India
The test report must be submitted within 90 days of the application
The manufacturer must rectify the non-conformance within 7 business days, otherwise the application will be rejected by BIS
The certificate is valid for two years
