ENEC Certification Introduction
Release Date: [2017/3/30 11:44:01]    Total read [] Times

There is a phenomenon still exists today, that is: in order to put electrical products to the entire European market, electrical manufacturers at the cost of the same electrical products for a number of European countries, such as certification, such as VDE, KEMA-KEUR, NF, IMQ, DEMKO and so on. It's both time-consuming and costly. Thus, similar to CE, ENEC certification also came into being. ENEC is the acronym for EUROPEAN NORMS ELECTRICAL CERTIFICATION, meaning the European standard electrical certification, the symbol is, where 05 is the certification body (KEMA) code.

The ENEC mark indicates that the relevant European standard is attached and that the ENEC certificate can be issued by CCA CENELEC (European Electrotechnical Commission) CERTIFICATION AGREEMENT. ENEC certification is recognized by the contracting authority of the CCA agreement country and it is possible to replace the safety certification of the countries of the European countries in the future.

The ENEC mark implies safety because it is based not only on the type of test done by a qualified certification body but also on the continuous control of the manufacturer's production process. In addition, the use of the ENEC mark is monitored by European producers and consumer organizations and official testing organizations.

Compared with the original authentication method, the benefits of ENEC certification are obvious:

1 . The completion of a test and certification process to obtain access to the entire European market required certification (ENEC), thus eliminating a lot of time and cost.
2 . The ENEC logo has been extended from the EU (European Community), EFTA (European Free Trade Association) countries to Eastern European countries.
3. Select a certification body to obtain the required (complete) certification (ENEC), thus reducing the certification process.
4. Can be freely among the many certification bodies.
5. A certification contract can replace the original number of certification contracts.

The ENEC agreement was signed in 1992, initially only for all types of fixtures, and various types of lighting equipment and its components were included. With the efforts of European industry and consumer organizations, ENEC certification is available for all electrical products in Europe in the near future. The European standards listed in Appendix B of the ENEC Agreement are now increasing. Since the ENEC agreement came into effect, more than 7,000 products have been ENEC certified, ENEC is being accepted by the whole of Europe.

The ENEC logo was originally intended for manufacturers in European countries and was not open to producers in countries other than Europe. But since last year, this has changed. At present, as long as the product is covered by the following standards, regardless of its manufacturer belongs to which country, can apply for ENEC signs:

EN60926 and EN60927 (Luminaire starting devices) lamps
