India announced 24 products imported from India to be certified
Government of India issued a statement on April 7, requires the following 24 types of imported products need to hold the Indian Standard Institute (ISI) of the certification mark. These products include immersion heaters, electric irons, electric stove, radiator, home switches, light bulbs, circuit breakers, fuses, switchgear, cables, meters and transformers. So far, 24 products containing the above, including a total, including iron and steel, household appliances, such as 159 cylinders, and food coloring products need to obtain prior certification to the Indian Standards Institution imports.
Foreign producers of these products or traders must first apply to Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for registration of their products, in line with BIS certification standards, may be allowed to paste the ISI mark. In addition to using the BIS mark required to pay inspection fees, but also pay 1% of the cost of imports.
