SPRING (Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board) formerly known as Productivity and Standards Board (PSB), responsible for customer protection (mainly for security requirements) Registration Scheme (CPS Scheme), to ensure that customers in the electrical, electronic and gas appliances, and product safety class.

CPS plans to require all consumer goods (public controlled products) traders and manufacturers to ensure that products meet specific security requirements. So far, 39 products have been designated as a controlled product.

Was designated as a controlled product must pass the mandatory SPRING Singapore and paste the safety of electrical safety certification mark. Certification must be designated by the security agency assessment body (CAB) certification. Products can be used through the identification, the compliance certification to be granted to registered suppliers (RS). Registered providers can register the product to the security agencies.

Singapore is the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) member to participate in IECEE's CB scheme. Certificate of UL's CB report, including any national bias test can be used as a channel into this market.
