EMC product grade

Australia's EMC system divides the product into three levels. The supplier must register with the ACA before applying the C-Tick logo at the sales level II and level three products.

       Level 1 product refers to the use of wireless spectrum equipment to interfere with lower radiation products, such as manual switches, simple relays, one-way squirrel-cage induction motor, resistance and so on. For a level of product, the supplier must sign a declaration of conformity and provide a product description. Level 1 products can voluntarily apply for the C-Tick logo, but the supplier, after choosing to use the mark, provides a compliance record while providing a declaration of conformity and product description to demonstrate that the product described in the declaration has been Conforms to the relevant EMC standards. Test site is not required, allowing internal testing.

Level 2 products refers to the use of wireless spectrum equipment to interfere with higher radiation products, such as switching power supply, welding machine, dimmer, most of the household appliances. In addition to having to sign a declaration of conformity and provide a product description, the supplier shall provide a test report in accordance with the relevant standards. If there is no relevant standard, the supplier shall provide the technical structure document, the test site is not required, and the internal test is allowed.

       Level 3 products refers to the use of wireless spectrum equipment to interfere with high radiation products, that is, CIPR11 and CISPR22 covered products. At present, the communication terminal products are still included in this range, but from November 7, 2003 onwards, the end product will be divided into the level of two products. In addition to having to sign a declaration of conformity and provide a product description, the supplier also provides a test report issued by a recognized testing organization. At the same time also issued by the QMS certification body issued by the quality management system certificate.
