The Singapore Standard Productivity and Reform Commission (SpringSingapore) is the Product Safety Department, which is developed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, in charge of the Consumer Protection (Product Safety Requirements) Registration Program (CPS). As of April 1, 2002, Consumer Protection Regulation No. 1991 was replaced by Consumer Protection Regulation No. 2002. The new regulations require that product safety compliance be based on a third-party certification body's test evaluation.
